AI Agent Masterclass Summary
Key Concepts:
- AI Agents: Digital employees that can think, decide, and take action using tools like email, calendar, and Google Drive.
- AI Automation vs. AI Agents: AI automation is rule-driven and performs repetitive tasks, while AI agents interpret unstructured data and make autonomous decisions.
- NADN: A platform for building AI agents and automating workflows.
- Triggers: The first step in a workflow that starts the AI automation.
- Actions: Everything that follows after the trigger in a workflow.
- Chat Model: The "brain" of the AI agent, responsible for reasoning and thinking.
- Memory: The ability of an AI agent to recall past messages, influencing its responses.
- Tools: Integrations with various applications (e.g., Google Calendar, Gmail) that allow AI agents to perform tasks.
- Sub Agents: AI agents that are called by other AI agents, creating a chain of command.
- RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation): A system that combines a database with AI to provide accurate answers to questions.
- Vector Database: A database that stores data in a three-dimensional space, allowing for semantic similarity searches.
- Embedding: The process of converting text into numerical representations for use in vector databases.
- JSON: A data format used for structuring data in NADN.
1. Introduction to AI Agents and NADN
The video introduces AI agents as a rapidly growing technology and provides a masterclass on building them using NADN. It aims to guide viewers, even those without prior experience, through the process of creating AI agents for various use cases. The presenter offers free blueprints for several AI agent workflows.
2. Examples of AI Agent Use Cases
- Personal Assistant: An AI agent that can manage Google Calendar, Gmail, social media, to-do lists (Air Table), and documents (invoices, PDFs). Example: Booking a coffee appointment with Jonno via voice message.
- Invoice Processing: An AI agent connected to ChachiBT that can extract line items (tax, total, rates) from invoices and automatically input them into a Google spreadsheet.
- Web Scraping: An AI agent that can automatically extract data (email, phone number, website URL) from websites like Google Maps and input the results into a Google Sheet.
3. What is an AI Agent?
An AI agent is described as a "digital employee" that can think, decide, and take action on your behalf. It's like a robot that works on your computer, given access to tools like email, calendar, and Google Drive. The agent receives messages, reasons about the user's intent, and uses the appropriate tools to complete the task.
