• Case Study: Chị Hiệp's Family: In a damaged house in Phường Tây, Nha Trang, Chị Hiệp's family is still sorting through the remnants of their belongings. All of her children's books, notebooks, and school bags were swept away by the flood. Despite returning to school a few days prior, her children are struggling with insufficient supplies.
  • "The entire set of third-grade textbooks is gone. Notebooks and bags were swept away, and we managed to salvage some. But the books are all lost. When the children went to school, on the first day, they had no notebooks and no books."
• Trường Tiểu học Vĩnh Thạnh: This school in Khánh Hòa, which experienced deep flooding, is facing a widespread shortage of textbooks and uniforms across most classes. The joy of returning to school is tempered by the worry of not having enough learning materials.

The Khánh Hòa Department of Education and Training has developed an emergency mobilization and recovery plan to address the needs of tens of thousands of affected students.

• Estimated Cost: The estimated cost for these recovery efforts is over 78 billion VND.
• Proposed Solutions: The department has proposed to the Department of Finance, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to allocate funds for purchasing teaching and learning equipment, repairing schools, and improving the learning environment.
• Current Support: The provincial education sector is currently supporting over 45,000 students affected by the floods. Priority is given to textbooks, uniforms, and easily accessible learning equipment such as computers, televisions, projectors, and furniture.
